I picked up the Maybelline Fit Me foundation (shade 115, second lightest) the other day and today I gave it the first real full day try. I have been curious about how this foundation would hold up on 40+ year old slightly dehydrated and surface dry skin.
I have not seen a whole lot of reviews by “older” persons so I had no hopes of this working for me.
This is NOT a full review, you can see this post as a first impression, but tried more than just applying it.
I primed as usual with my holy grail face primer by Laura Geller (Spackle Hydrating Under Makeup Primer). I then applied the foundation with my fingers, gently working it on to my skin.
The coverage is medium, workable up to medium-full and the longevity is amazing! I sat indoors (dry air), I took a three hour walk in the sun (and sweating in the face) and later I blotted my face expecting the foundation to be gone. But it was still looking GREAT! Skin looked healthy, hydrated and as flawless as my skin can look.
So, I can initially say that I am officially impressed.
Stay tuned for a full review after a few weeks of use.
Have you tried this foundation? What are your thoughts on it?
