I got my first Makeup Revolution haul just in time for Christmas so I thought I’d share with you what I got! I’m also including a few swatches for your viewing pleasure!
First out is the Ultra Contour Palette! One of my beauty goals for 2016 is to learn how to contour and hilight properly, that’s why I chose to pick up this one!
Eight contour, bronze and hilight shades! Perfect for a newbie like me!

Next up is the “dupe” for the Urban Decay Naked palette, the original one. It is called Iconic 1 and yes, it is pretty much a dupe.
I used to own the Naked palette (I have sold it since) and I can confirm that they are extremely similar! Same shades, same placement. The Iconic 1 is impressive in it’s own right though. The pigmentation of the shadows are extremely good! I am loving this so far!
Quick random finger swatches:
I am really impressed of the pigmentation of these! I have played around a little bit with them and they deserve a big shout out in their own right! As long as you use a primer (which in all honesty you always should) you’re all set for a full day of glam!
The last palette I bought is a really interesting one. If you know anything about Makeup Revolution, and you might have guessed from what I wrote above, they have made their name by duplicating high end makeup products. This palette is actually not a dupe per se, even though it might look like it. It is a pink palette in the style of the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palettes. Sound familiar? Yes, the newest Too Faced palette is also pink but the Makeup Revolution one was actually released prior to the Too Faced one, and the colours inside are not dupes of the pink Too Faced one in any way shape or form.
A few random finger swatches:
Lastly I decided to try some of their lip products. I ordered three Liphugs, which simply are lipsticks. The three I got are creamy and quite glossy. They really do feel like they are hugging your lips and they are really comfortable!
I wasn’t mixed up (this one is my fave!):

When you came to me:
I hope you enjoyed my first Makeup Revolution Haul! I will for sure be reviewing these products on my Youtube Channel further down the line, after I have used them some more!
