Are you looking for anti-ageing skincare at affordable prices? Well, if you live in the UK (or if you are planning to visit!) then you are in luck!
Superdrug has recently launched their own anti-ageing skincare line called Optimum PhytoDeluxe. The line consists of a day cream and a night cream and is targeted towards the 40+ age group. What’s special about these two creams are that they contain black diamond truffle extract and platinum particles. Ingredients that are normally found in way more expensive skincare products. These luxury ingredients are known to rejuvenate, tone and firm your skin. This is luxury skincare that you can afford and you don’t have to use a million different lotions and potions to reap the anti-ageing benefits!
Superdrug was kind enough to send me the creams for review, if you want my thoughts about them just keep reading!
The creams comes in sleek grey pump bottles, each containing 50 ml of product. The pumps are not your “one pump and get way too much product” typ of deal, they are actually controllable, which means you can dispense half a pump if you wish. Nice touch.
They are lightly scented and the discreet scent does not linger or irritate. I am prone to runny eyes when using scented skincare, but these creams did not irritate me in any way shape or form.
The texture of these feels rich but not greasy and they sink in to the skin easily without leaving any sort of residue on the skin. I have dry and occasionally dehydrated skin and these creams works great for my 46 year old skin.
I have noticed that my skin looks more glowy and healthy since I started using these creams. They are the only thing I have changed in my skincare regimen and I use them together with my normal cleansers and toners. I feel hydrated and glowy the whole day, the day cream is excellent under makeup. I use two pumps of product, both for day cream and night cream, and massage it in to face and neck. The day cream does give you an SPF of 15!
The bottles are graced with the Leaping Bunny Logo which means they are Cruelty Free!
The price for these are £14.99 each and they are available at Superdrug.
