ZOEVA Cocoa Blend Palette Swatches!

I recently won a giveaway that the lovely Carrie from @WhatILoveTodayx held on Twitter. The price was the gorgeous ZOEVA Cocoa Blend palette. I have now played around a bit with the palette and I can just say wow! Buttery smooth and for the very most part pigmented shades.

The shades work very well together and the matte shades that are included makes sure you can get a variety of looks from it!

I have swatches the palette on my bare hand, no primer or base.

Top row: Bitter Start, Sweeter End, Warm Notes, Subtle Blend and Beans are White.

Bottom row: Pure Ganache, Substitute for Love, Freshly Toasted, Infusion and Delicate Acidity.

There are a few shades that did not perform as i would have wanted them to:

Beans are White (top row, fifth shade) is patchy and difficult to blend.

Infusion (bottom row, fouth shade) is also patchy and difficult to blend. The gold shimmer that shows up in the pan does not translate to the skin.

Delicate Acidity (bottom row, fifth shade) swatches beautifully but fades faster than the pay check before Christmas.

Other than that, I am very happy with the palette. The “dud” shades are still workable and they are overshadowed by the rest of the buttery gorgeous shades. I especially love that the lightest shade, Bitter Start (top row, first shade) is so close to my skintone. It makes a gorgeous base shade for me personally.

I do recommend this palette, it is stunning and overall very easy to work with.

Do you own this palette? What are your thoughts?
